Just breaking in my NEW MONITOR!!!!!
That's right folks, 19 inch CRT 18 inch viewable, up to 2048x1536 pixel resolution, and NO BRIGHTNESS ISSUES!!!
Now its up to you guys; does the lense flare stay or go for the print version (which no one will buy, but it makes me feel important to submit prints). I feel that the flare helps pull the image together...
Done with terragen for the black hole, photoshop for everything else. Yes, terragen for the black hole.
As I love to say:

EDIT: Made some changes... rocks n'stuff... better? Worse?
EDIT: Same as before really, added some lenseflares and fixed the rocks n'stuff...
EDIT: Sorry folks, last one, I promise: Thinned the rocks so they dont look like a swarm of bees or flies or something...

Well it was almost six years ago, but I actually used Terragen 0.9 to create the black hole. It was actually an accident; the parameters I entered resulted in that formation (though I had to invert the colors to get what you see there).
Congrats on being the first person I can remember who actually clicked through to see the newer version!
