Just playing with lighting. Not looking for anything specific, just making lights, coloring them, and moving them around. And telling them what to do. They're more cooperative, but less intuitive to use, than real lights.
It does have a "classic sci-fi" mood about it, and not just referring to the presence of a certain spaceship either. The colours and lighting also establish the effect. It may not be as "real" as modern day space-scenarios, but there was something artistic about them, such as creating a backlighting effect to highlight parts of things that would normally come out completely black, like what you did with the subtle blue lighting in here. Almost makes it looks like these are real models on a set like how they used to do it
Yeah. I generally prefer more realistic lighting, but if I want to learn how to use lights I need to understand them first. I'll have to find some tutorials and resources.
