Planetary Resources Contest
First of all, welcome to all of my new watchers! I know it's been a little while since I posted anything; I've been pretty busy :P
In any case, Planetary Resources currently has a contest in which the goal of each submission is to sum up how how the contestant feels about space exploration in a single image. More Max Work
Getting better? I created the texture from scratch, I wasn't feeling up to stitching photos together. It needs more work, but I think it looks pretty decent here. I've realized that colors need to be more muted in order to look realistic in Max, where in Photoshop I've tended to favor stronger colors and more contrast.
3DS Max
Of course, during finals, I remembered that 3DS Max is free for students. Anyone know of any tutorials I need to read?

Just a flower.
This is the first shot ever in which I've managed to get an insect properly in focus. Yay me.
Just thought the flower looked cool from this angle.

Not sure what this ant was doing, or why it randomly decided to stand up and wave its antennae, but I'm not complaining.
I seriously need a better camera for this kind of thing.
